Fraktal GmbH, a pioneering start-up in the aquaculture industry, recently announced the unfortunate closure of its state-of-the-art shrimp farm located in Anklam, Germany. This decision comes as a result of the critical shortage of qualified specialist personnel needed to operate the farm efficiently. As a farewell gesture, Fraktal GmbH is offering its remaining shrimp stock at a remarkable half-price discount.
Established in 2015, Fraktal GmbH had the ambitious objective of revolutionizing the aquaculture industry by developing sustainable and competitive shrimp farming methods. The company’s innovative approach garnered support from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, propelling it towards its goal of achieving eco-friendly shrimp production.
Patented Technologies at the Heart of Anklam Shrimp Farm
At the core of Fraktal GmbH’s operations was its proprietary technology, which enabled the farm to cultivate shrimp in an environmentally responsible manner. This unique technology allowed the farm to produce more than 15 tons of shrimp annually, all within a saltwater environment maintained at a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius.
One of the standout achievements of this technology was its remarkable energy efficiency, consuming only half the energy compared to similar aquaculture systems. Additionally, the farm incorporated microplastic-free biofilters to treat wastewater, contributing to a sustainable and clean farming process. Water consumption was optimized to such an extent that replenishing water was only necessary to compensate for the volume of shrimp harvested.
Last Chance to Savor Anklam Shrimp
In light of the farm’s closure, Fraktal GmbH is offering a limited-time opportunity for seafood enthusiasts to savor the Anklam shrimp at an unbeatable price. While supplies last, the remaining shrimp stock is being sold at just half the original price of 20 euros per kilo.
This unique offer not only allows customers to enjoy high-quality, sustainably farmed shrimp but also serves as a bittersweet farewell to a farm that embodied innovation and commitment to eco-conscious aquaculture practices.
