Global Ranking of Shrimp Prices
While Thailand maintains its position as a significant player in the global shrimp market, it’s essential to contextualize its pricing dynamics relative to other major producers. Vietnam, for instance, ranks second globally in terms of shrimp prices.
In the third week of 2024, Vietnamese shrimp prices stood at 4.20 USD/kg, trailing closely behind Chinese shrimp prices. However, by the fourth week, Vietnamese shrimp prices experienced a decline, reaching 7.30 USD/kg. Despite its stable pricing, Thailand ranks third in terms of shrimp prices globally.
Ecuador’s Competitive Edge
