In a recent operation, inspectors from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Vietnam uncovered a significant violation within the shrimp industry. During routine patrolling, officials intercepted a truck transporting shrimp seeds without proper documentation.
Violation Unveiled
Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the truck was carrying over 530,000 shrimp seeds, including black tiger and whiteleg shrimp varieties, which had not undergone quarantine procedures. Furthermore, the individual responsible for the shipment failed to provide the necessary paperwork for the imported seeds.
Prompt action was taken by the authorities. A detailed record was made of the violation, and the vehicle was sealed. The driver was instructed to transport the truck to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s headquarters for further investigation.
