The surprising result? The shrimp were fully cooked upon his return.
From Fresh to Cooked: A Fortuitous Mishap
Kornphakwat, a 19-year-old Food and Nutrition student at Phuket Vocational College, shared his serendipitous discovery with the world through TikTok. With over 4 million views, his video has captured the attention of viewers globally.
Detailing his inadvertent culinary adventure, Kornphakwat explained that he had purchased the shrimp from Makro. Forgetting to retrieve the packet from under the seat of his friend’s motorbike upon arriving at college, he left it there as he attended classes.
Unexpected Results
Hours later, when Kornphakwat returned to the motorbike, he made a surprising discovery—the shrimp had cooked through due to the intense heat of the sun. Reflecting on the unexpected turn of events, he expressed his astonishment, stating, “I never thought that something like this would happen.”
Rather than letting the fortuitously cooked shrimp go to waste, Kornphakwat decided to utilize them in a dish he calls “shrimp sasa.”
