Duong Anh Tu has been named as the new managing director of the joint aquafeed venture between BioMar and Viet Uc in Vietnam. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having dedicated his career to managing commercial development, especially within the Vietnamese animal nutrition industry.
Navigating the Waters of Aquafeed Innovation
Duong Anh Tu has previously worked with both local and global companies, including renowned names such as Olam Global Agri and Cargill. With a proven track record in the field, he is well-equipped to steer the venture to new heights. The joint venture between BioMar and Viet Uc primarily focuses on shrimp feeds, ranging from high-end hatchery feeds to grow-out feeds.
Duong Anh Tu’s appointment comes as he steps into the shoes of Franck Bodin, who played a pivotal role in establishing the BioMar Viet Uc feed brand in the local market. Franck Bodin was initially hired to launch the business in Vietnam, and his contributions have been instrumental in laying the foundation for BioMar and Viet Uc’s success in the region.
A Promising Future Ahead
Francois Loubere, vice-president of BioMar Asia, expressed his confidence in Duong Anh Tu, stating, “We have chosen Duong Anh Tu to lead the next phase of our growth of the shrimp feed business in Vietnam. He has a proven ability to lead the development of innovative solutions for the local markets, and we are sure he will be a strong asset for the organization as well as for the customers.”
