Irregularities and Unpleasant Odors Reported
The enforcement team responded to a report indicating the presence of several vehicles carrying fish with irregularities in the region. Disturbingly, complainants noted that the vehicles were emitting an unbearable odor, with fish liquids seeping onto public roads in the neighborhood.
Patrolling for Violations
Acting on the information received, the environmental police conducted patrols to address the reported irregularities. During the operation, they successfully intercepted a van transporting a significant load of shrimp without proof of origin.
Administrative Fines and Vehicle Seizure
Upon inspection, it was determined that the company responsible for the undocumented shrimp was in violation of regulations. As a consequence, an administrative fine of BRL 35,200 (USD 7,050) was imposed on the company. Additionally, the vehicle used for transporting the shrimp was seized by authorities.
