The Ellen Noël Art Museum of the Permian Basin (ENAM) in Texas, USA, is gearing up for its 39th Annual Shrimpfest, scheduled to take place on Monday, February 26, at the Ector County Coliseum. As the Museum’s premier fundraising event, Shrimpfest promises an evening of Cajun delight and community camaraderie.
A Night of Unlimited Cajun Shrimp
With over 1,200 attendees expected, Shrimpfest offers guests an unforgettable experience featuring unlimited servings of delectable Cajun shrimp. The event goes beyond culinary delights, presenting exciting opportunities to participate in silent and live auctions. Attendees can bid on a diverse range of items, including enticing vacations, thrilling hunting trips, beauty products, jewelry, and unique pieces crafted by local artists.
General Admission tickets for this night are available for $50 in advance and $55 at the door. These tickets grant access to the event, unlimited servings of mouth-watering shrimp, and a refreshing beverage to complement the culinary experience.
As a non-profit organization, ENAM relies on impactful fundraisers like Shrimpfest to supplement the funding it receives through donations, memberships, and grants. The proceeds from this event play a crucial role in supporting the Museum’s mission and ensuring the continuation of vital programs.
Making a Difference
The funds generated from Shrimpfest directly contribute to sustaining and expanding ENAM’s outreach programs. Initiatives like Art 2 Go for second graders, Free Community Art Days with activities for all ages, and Fine Arts Connection third grade field trips are made possible through events like Shrimpfest.
Additionally, these proceeds empower ENAM to host significant exhibitions, such as the recently showcased “Gastronomy” from December 7, 2023, to March 10, 2024. The generosity of Shrimpfest attendees ensures that the public can access these exhibitions at no cost, fostering a rich cultural experience for the entire community.
By supporting Shrimpfest, attendees not only indulge in a night of culinary delights and auction excitement but also actively contribute to ENAM’s ability to expand, develop, and diversify its programs. This ongoing commitment to growth enables the Museum to better meet the evolving needs of our vibrant and growing community.
