These efforts resulted in the signing of contracts for 104 new projects, collectively valued at more than CNY 100 million (USD 13.9 million).
The city has already begun construction on 36 projects, with 10 of them operational, according to data from the local government.
Shrimp Breeding Thrives with Local Support
Changyi has attracted a shrimp breeding company, Bangpu, with its dedicated support. Overcoming concerns about possible groundwater pollution due to the nearby chemical industrial park, the local government stepped in. It drilled a deep well at Bangpu’s breeding site, conducted water quality tests, and confirmed the suitability for shrimp breeding.
Luo Kun, deputy general manager of Bangpu, expressed gratitude for the local government’s dedication, highlighting that their decisive action prompted the establishment of a breeding base in Changyi.
Strategic Cooperation and Achievements in Shrimp Breeding
Bangpu, through strategic cooperation with high-quality domestic resources, has achieved significant milestones in shrimp breeding. The company boasts China’s largest and most genetically diverse living seed bank for whiteleg shrimp. Through continuous selection for over five generations, Bangpu has an annual capacity to breed 100,000 pairs of high-quality shrimp, addressing gaps in the domestic market and breaking the monopoly on shrimp breeding technologies by foreign entities.
