On June 6, 2024, Gulf Marketing Group (GMG), headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, achieved a milestone in Vietnam’s seafood industry with the inauguration of its Binh Thuan branch and AQ (Aqua Quality) Biological Shrimp Breeding Center.

Introducing the B201 Shrimp Line

Central to this development is the introduction of the B201 shrimp line, a breed imported from Florida, USA, leveraging advanced Genomics technology. Known for its robust health profile and resilience against diseases, the B201 promises to revolutionize shrimp farming in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quy, Chairman of GMG, emphasized the organization’s dedication to the seafood industry’s future, stating that GMG is focusing on enhancing shrimp seeds, microbial products, and aquatic feed.

Technological Advancements

Dr. Gia Co James, GMG’s global strategic advisor, highlighted the scientific rigor behind the B201 shrimp line, developed in collaboration with leading experts in genetic research. The AQ Biological Shrimp Production Center will spearhead the domestication of the B201 line, ensuring its suitability for Vietnam’s farming conditions.

Mr. Dang Tien Dung, Deputy General Director of Operations at Mega Group, emphasized the corporation’s role in fostering economic growth and community welfare through sustainable practices. The expansion into Vietnam’s seafood industry is expected to generate employment and support local economies.

During the opening ceremony, GMG solidified partnerships with key industry players, including Hi-Tech Agriculture and Plasma Technology Research Institute.
