Central Maintenance and Welding (CMW) recently hosted its second annual shrimp boil at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds in the United States, raising USD 112,000. The event, which has become a signature occasion for CMW, garnered support from clients, partners, and the local community.
Supporting Local Youth and Community Causes
The primary purpose of this fundraiser was to support and empower youth within the community. CMW directed the funds raised towards local organizations dedicated to aiding disadvantaged children and young adults. Among the beneficiaries was Everyday Blessings Inc., a group foster home that provides care services in Hillsborough and Manatee counties.
Shawn MacConnell, vice president of CMW, emphasized the significance of this annual event in bringing together stakeholders while contributing to important causes: “Our renewed tradition of hosting a shrimp boil for our valued clients and partners, coupled with our commitment to supporting local initiatives like Everyday Blessings, continues to be the highlight of our company calendar every year.”
Impact on Everyday Blessings Inc.
Everyday Blessings Inc. expressed deep gratitude for being selected once again as a beneficiary of CMW’s generosity. The donation of USD 73,370 made a transformative impact on their ability to provide care and support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
Rich Stroud, executive director of Everyday Blessings, spoke highly of CMW’s ongoing support: “Central Maintenance and Welding is and has been a nonstop blessing to us and our kids. We are so incredibly grateful for their unwavering commitment to our cause.”
