After four successful editions, VietShrimp has solidified its position as a prominent shrimp fair not only in Vietnam but also on the global stage. In 2024, the much-anticipated 5th VietShrimp will take place in Ca Mau province, bearing the theme “In Company With Shrimp Farmers.”
Fostering Collaboration for Shrimp Industry Growth
VietShrimp 2024 comes at a crucial juncture for the domestic shrimp industry. As Vietnam seeks to capitalize on export opportunities and enhance the shrimp sector’s performance, government bodies, ministries, localities, and industry associations have rallied to support shrimp farmers in overcoming the challenges that lie ahead. The event has been scheduled earlier than originally planned to serve as a platform for swift communication, knowledge exchange, and addressing bottlenecks affecting both the Vietnamese and global shrimp industries.
Having previously hosted successful editions in 2016, 2018 (in Bac Lieu province), and 2021, 2023 (in Can Tho City), VietShrimp has established itself as a major event in Vietnam’s seafood industry calendar. With the mission of opening doors to new markets, reinforcing Vietnam’s shrimp industry position and brand globally, VietShrimp plays a pivotal role in supporting the entire shrimp farming supply chain.
Empowering Shrimp Farmers
Under the theme “In Company With Shrimp Farmers,” VietShrimp 2024 is set to become a pivotal forum for discovering effective solutions to steer Vietnam’s shrimp industry back onto the path of growth, all while pursuing sustainable development goals. Scheduled for March 20 and 21, 2024, VietShrimp’s series of seminars will offer comprehensive insights and timely support to shrimp farmers navigating through these challenging times.
VietShrimp 2024 is anticipated to host around 250 booths featuring over 200 domestic and international businesses and organizations engaged in various aspects of the seafood industry, with a particular focus on shrimp. The thematic seminar sessions will witness the participation and knowledge-sharing of prominent figures, including managers, scientists, experts, and businesses deeply committed to the Vietnamese shrimp industry.
